We are excited to announce that the 2023 DBNY Keynote Speaker will be Miranda Wilson
Keynote Talk:
Characterizing the role of an RNA binding protein and nutrition in female sex determination

Miranda Wilson is a PhD candidate in the Development, Regenerative, and Stem Cells Graduate Training Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Born and raised in Washington State, she received a bachelor's degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Seattle University (SU) in 2015. While at SU, Miranda worked in a biophysical chemistry lab studying the role of amino acid substitutions in conserved proteins to better understand species adaptations. In graduate school, Miranda is working in Dr. Florence Marlow’s lab to study the role of a vertebrate-conserved RNA binding protein in female zebrafish sex determination and differentiation.
